Today, KBS™ is pleased to announce Nike Golf’s adoption of the brand-new KBS C-Taper shaft for custom orders available immediately through Nike dealers nationwide. Today’s announcement highlights growing demand for the KBS C-Taper shaft which was introduced by KBS only a few weeks ago (May 9^th, 2011) among their premiere network of fitters worldwide. Following Nike Golf’s adoption of the C-Taper shaft, expect to see the KBS C-Taper shaft in Nike Golf custom fitting carts later this year.

TECHNOLOGY:

- STIFF TIP: The KBS C-Taper shaft incorporates a Stiff Tip enhancing the Recalculated MOI Taper Design for maximum torsion and flex. The added stability near the club head minimizes spin and delivers a piercing ball flight.  

- MOI-ADVANCED TAPER: The taper section in the all-new CT shaft modifies the formula for outer diameter and wall thickness proportionality, increasing the OD nearer the tip. This unique balance of mass and taper maintains optimized energy transfer for maximum feel and distance; however the flexural design will impart a low piercing trajectory with reduced spin.

FITTING:
The all-new KBS C-Taper shaft will be slightly more stiff flex and player fitting than a comparable flex in the KBS Tour shaft. For our swing speed fit, we've kept the numbers approximately the same because the range is not far off. Fitter's should expect to fit the target player (high ball hitters, high spin, fast tempo, etc.) into a comparable flex with the possibility of a soft-step.
